Remember when I blogged about looking like this crazy mess? Well here’s finally why! Last December, Jason and I went to NYC to shoot Rica + Josh’s super fun, super fabulous and super freezing engagement session! These two lovebirds have always loved NYC and wanted to incorporate the NYC vibe into their engagement session. I thought it was a great idea and jumped at the opportunity to shoot somewhere other than sunny SoCal. Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into! We knew it was going to be cold, but we didn’t know it was going to be f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g. Poor Rica with her opened toed shoes in 26 degree weather! But these two were troopers and we survived the whole day like real New Yorkers. We were certainly thankful for ear muffs, hand warmers, scarves and hot chocolate breaks. Rica + Josh actually just tied the knot in early September and I can’t wait to share their incredible wedding! But because I had to keep their NYC engagement session a surprise until their wedding day, I am now sharing their engagement photos first =).

Special thanks to Rica + Josh for being always so fun + fabulous, Jason for keeping me warm (seriously he bought a whole pack of hand warmers from amazon.com) + braving the ice skates when I was too scared to (what?! I’m a lil’ Vietnamese girl) and the Anthony + Josh of Alumiq Productions for joining in on the fun with their video cameras. And would I do it again?! In a heartbeat! =). Jason and I are actually making a little trip this weekend to NYC but this time without our cameras (ok maybe our i-phones), with warmer temperatures (still cold for my standards), and just with our bellies ready to eat (what else would we do?!)!
